Professionals who earn a CMfgE demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and practices. Earning a CMfgE certification requires a minimum of eight years combined manufacturing-related education and work experience (a minimum of four years must be work experience). A Certified Manufacturing Technologist (CMfgT) qualifies with a minimum of seven years combined manufacturing-related education and work experience.
