Description
Back to Laser Assisted Electrochemical Machining
The electrochemical machining (ECM) process removes material by controlled anodic dissolution and the electroforming process (EFP) uses cathodic deposition in electrolyte solution. Both processes are used in microfabrication of electronic and precision components. The efficiency of these techniques can be improved by using a hybrid process of electrochemical dissolution assisted by laser heating. This paper presents the modeling, analysis, and simulation of laser electrochemical machining (LECM) process. Authors: J. Kozak, K. P. Rajurkar, University of Nebraska, Lincoln, NE.
