Magnesium--A Lightweight, Machinable Metal for Low-Cost Tooling

Magnesium is very useful for tooling processes. As the earth's third most plentiful metal, it has several desirable characteristics which are discussed in detail: light weight, dimensional stability, tolerance, elongation and toughness, stiffness machinability, weldability.
