Planning for Tomorrow's Gaging

In-progress gaging, operator-inspector status, control or feedback gages and sorting gages, are discussed in this state-of-the-art survey. The use of sorting gages in selective assembly work is predicted. More built-in control gages are advocated. The author recommends that gaging be considered part of the productive process, not a non-productive item. (Formerly 24T45)
