CEMENTED CARBIDES

Cemented carbides are typical powder metallurgy products, principally employing the liquid phase sintering process to achieve a material of essentially 100% density. These alloys exhibit extremely high hardness and strength with moderate toughness, and find wide use as high speed cutting tool materials, dies, mining tools, drills and various wear parts. Moreover through powder metallurgy, it is possible to realize a wide variety of alloys with a broad spectrum of properties tailorable to fit most any application need.
