Description

Back to Robotics and CAD/CAM

There is an easy association between NC machines and industrial robots, in addition to the reasonable fits of robots into CAD/CAM subsystems. On the other hand, it is not self-evident that robots will be engulfed by a CAD/CAM database. The model for a robot is still a human operator and the latter is a stand-alone system of some utility. The robot as an individual and the robot as an element of integrated Computer-Aided Manufacturing (I-CAM) will be examined.
