Description

Back to A Double Loop Adaptive Control System for the ECG Process

The dominant parameters of the electro-chemical grinding (ECG) process are the voltage and the feedrate. An optimal operating locus is defined by the feedrate and the voltage. One of the main limitations in the peripheral electrochemical grinding process is the overcut phenomenon. The constraint of maximum permitted overcut is used to define the optimal point on the optimal locus. A system which automatically converges to this optimal point and tests run under this optimal adaptive system are presented in this paper.
