Dynamics of Grinding with Coated Abrasives

Coated abrasive grinding belts utilize the same abrasive minerals as grinding wheels. However, since coated abrasives are not dressed before use, grit size and shape, rather than dressing or breakdown, determine the density of cutting points on the abrasive surface. This paper describes the effect of grit size and operating parameters on the dynamics of grinding gray cast iron.
