Description
Back to Cost Justification for A Phased CIM Project
It is often difficult to cost justify a computer-integrated manufacturing project. The phased implementation approach can be viewed by using the overall project in its discrete phases. The phased approach also simplifies the task of cost justification. To cost justify a phase of a project, it is necessary to prove how the individual phase is cost beneficial by itself and how it contributes to the integrated result. The traditional cost concepts are not accurate in the computer-integrated manufacturing enterprise. In order to cost justify a CIM project, the traditional cost concepts are examined and modified.
