Description
Back to Bonding Performance Plastics With Structural Methacrylate Adhesives
The increasing use of high performance engineering plastics in more demanding applications has created a demand for tougher adhesives with the ability to bond a variety of substrates. At the same time, the push for higher production efficiency and lower cost requires faster, simpler adhesive application. Methacrylate structural adhesives have been designed to address these challenges. They allow high performance plastics to perform to their design limits and provide rapid, room-temperature bonding without primers. Several structural plastic and metal bonding applications are described in this paper along with two new repair systems based on methacrylate resins.
