Back to Designing and Building Open Source Rapid Prototyping Machines
This study reviews the new concepts of open source and replicating rapid prototyping (Rep-Rap) machines and presents design and development of two different prototyping machines based on fused filament fabrication (FFF) and digital light processing (DLP) technologies as well as modification of a numerically controlled (NC) router into an extruder based on the FFF process. Presented at Rapid 2013 Conference and Exposition, Including 3D Imaging, SME, June 10-13, 2013, Pittsburgh, PA.
