Description
Back to Maintenance Expense Control of Tools, Dies, Fixtures and Equipment
Westinghouse Electric has developed a plan of maintenance expense control which is useful in these operations: (1) metal stamping, forming and punch presses, (2) miscellaneous machining, and (3) hot pressing, forging and permanent molding, plastic molding and die casting. The prime object of this plan is to simplify the means of finding conditions which cause tool and equipment failures that tend to result in manufacturing difficulties. This plan, applied primarily to metal stamping, is discussed in detail. (Formerly 21T6)
