Problems in Production Welding

In this panel discussion, questions on the subject of production welding were submitted by members of the audience, and answered by the authors, who were panelists. Topics discussed included a comparison of automatic to manual arc welding, the use of AWS welding symbols, spot welding, production welding in shipyards, butt welding of small parts and tubes, welding of titanium, and the teaching of welding in vocational high schools.
