Visualizing Plant Layout in Three Dimensions
Description
Back to Visualizing Plant Layout in Three Dimensions
The lack of standardization of industrial planning techniques exists because of ignorance of the responsibilities involved in the broad term, "plant layout," and of management's reluctance to establish suitable planning procedures and to permit necessary equipment purchases to further these procedures. The space-composition breakdown follows a mathematically determined course, based on: (1) type of product manufactured, (2) material from which it is made, (3) manufacturing methods, and (4) types of necessary equipment. The joint use of the repro-templet method and three-dimensional planning is described and recommended. (Formerly 22T38)
