WHY ELECTROCHEMICAL GRINDING FOR PRODUCTION

The important and unique advantages of ECG went largely unnoticed or unused by production engineers until recently when companies having experience with ECG in the toolroom renewed their interest in using the process in production work, for at least three good reasons. Equipment used for ECG in the next decade will be built for a wide range of operations, with specific machines built for specific applications. This machinery will share two particular design considerations: it will be both corrosion proof and more rigid than prior grinding machines. Machines now in use are described.
