APPLICATION OF COATINGS BY POWDER TECHNIQUES

This paper will discuss the history of powder coating from its origin in the early 1950's through a progression of application methods and equipment to present day techniques. Also discussed are commercially available powders in terms of generic classes and typical production applications for some of the materials. New uses for powders, new powders under development, and the future of the powder coating industry will also be described.
