THE PRINCIPLES OF GRINDING

In this report, equations relating the stock removal rate and their interface force intensity are developed and a material removal parameter is defined. Similar equations for the wheel wear and a wheel wear parameter are also developed. The essential parameters in dressing with single point demands are introduced and their effect on controlling the sharpness of a grinding wheel is discussed. Thermal damage and surface integrity are described.
