Back to A SURVEY OF AIRBORNE DUST CONCENTRATIONS AROUND POWDER COATING FACILIT
Exposure of powder coating facility operating personnel to dust inhalation hazards has been one of the unknown quantities faced by management of concerns considering adoption of powder applied finishing techniques. This paper will describe requirements for control of airborne dust in the workplace, illustrate with supporting slides the common sources of airborne dust around a powder coating facility, and discuss means for its control. Results of an air sampling program conducted in several operating powder coating facilities will be presented and discussed.
