Description
Back to Centerless Grinding with Coated Abrasive Belts
The performance of coated abrasive belts is greatly influenced by the properties of the contact wheel. Coated wheel selection is especially important for centerless grinding, where the nature of the work-tool interface tends to cause premature belt failure as a result of edge damage. Unfortunately, contact wheel properties that tend to optimize belt efficiency also tend to aggravate the edge problem. A contact wheel design that is uniquely suited for centerless grinding with coated abrasives is suggested.
