Electrochemical grinding (ECG) is a valuable technique for the machining of normally difficult to machine alloys. It offers the advantage of producing parts that are burr-free and metallurgically sound. ECG is not applied as extensively as it should be. Operating parameters are different from conventional methods, and the average machine operator cannot properly implement the technique. Computer Numerical Control offers a solution to this problem.
