Description
Back to Statistical Process Control: Case Histories
Three different charts and processes at the Philco-Ford manufacturing facility in Toronto are detailed. The electronic warning module, all-electronic speedometer--fuel gauge and electronically tuned radio lines are used as models. A step-by-step analysis of the problem-solving techniques used to reduce defect rates and analyze specific problems is discussed. This paper was designed as part of a one-day workshop in conjunction with "Statistical Process Control: Fundamental Concepts" and "Practical Concerns for the Implementation of a Statistical Process Control Program."
