Torque Tightening -- Measurement, Control and Documentation

A series of digital readout, microprocessor-controlled torque-tightening tools are reviewed. Hand wrenches with LCD visual display and audio alarm indicate when the prescribed torque is reached. Techniques are described, whereby this tool can be used not only for the original installation, but also as an inspection device to determine the maximum torque of fasteners already installed.
