Description
Back to The Engineering Analysis of Industrial Robot Applications
The technical content of the analysis of applications of robots in manufacturing automation is examined, and applications-oriented courses in robotics are described. Four-year curricula in fields such as industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, and industrial technology need robotics and automation applications courses which have sufficient technical content to be appropriate for engineering and technology curricula. Example analytical techniques are statistics, probability, work measurement, scheduling, and economic analysis as applied to problems of system integration, subsystem interdependence, reliability, installation, programming, efficiency, and effectiveness of robots and automated systems.
