Designing A Statistical Process Control Program For Paint

This paper describes the implementation program utilized by one company for the use of statistical process control (SPC) in paint spraybooth systems. The manner in which SPC is applied is quite different from that prevalent in industry today. This company plans to utilize SPC practices to maintain control over a process that determines the quality of water in the paint spray booth system. This paper provides detail on accomplishing the task of implementing SPC controls on the process of maintaining water quality. This is the chemical detackification and solids removal program.
