Belt Grinding With Ceramic Aluminum Oxide

Aluminum oxide made by chemical ceramic synthesis has resulted in the manufacture of improved coated and bonded abrasive tooling. This paper describes how the properties of ceramic aluminum oxide compare with fused aluminum oxide. The performance of aluminum oxide made by both processes also is compared when used in belt grinding under various grinding conditions.
