Stereolithography: Applications For Rapid Prototyping

Stereo lithography is a new but highly evolved technology that utilizes lasers, plastics, CAD, and mechanics in an elegant process. The originator of the technology produces an automatic machine tool that can make plastic parts without significant labor or time. The stereo lithography apparatus (SLA) is revolutionizing manufacturing and design because of the wealth of applications that use the rapid prototype or pattern. This paper highlights these applications.
